This, that, and the other

I seem to be posting here less and less lately! Lots of stuff is going on, and thankfully, most of it is good (save for the crap in the most recent extended entry). I won't go in to that agin, though.

After working Friday night and Saturday morning, I enjoyed a very lazy Saturday afternoon. I napped on the sofa while watching documentaries on the National Geographic channel. Before I knew it, it was time to get ready for my date with P.

I arrived at his place shortly after six and we headed out for phase one of our date - a drive up to watch the sunset from South Mountain. My, my, my... what a gorgeous view. I can't believe I had never gone up there before. The sky was glorious, and we enjoyed it and each other's company until it got dark. On the drive home, we talked about 80's music and all sorts of random trivia. We got back to his place around eight. I sat and watched him finish cooking dinner (chicken parm) while we chatted. It may be the only thing he can cook, but damn, that was one hell of a tasty meal! The remaninder of the evening wa spent snuggling on his (unfortunately, very uncomfortable) futon watching The Blair Witch Project . He asked me to stay the night, but because he had to be up for work at 5:30am, I declined.

I can't believe how well this is going. I had a conversation with Kirsten about how I was feeling sort of iffy about everything, but after I stopped over-analyzing everything, I realized I had nothing to worry about, and more importantly, I was actually enjoying myself. I look forward to the time we spend together each week so much.

I haven't felt this at ease with someone in a very long time. He's completely understanding of the fact that I want to take things slow (in all aspects of the relationship) and isn't in any way pushy or anything. Of course, this makes me want to speed things up, but I'm trying my best not to do so. I invited him to accompany me to my brother's best friend's wedding next month. He accepted, even after I told him he would be meeting my brother and possibly my mother! Yes, he's a keeper (I have other wedding-related news, but because I'm not sure if one of the people in question reads the blog, I think I'll keep it to myself for a little while longer).

L has an interview tomorrow at my former place of employment. I really, really, really hope it goes well for her, and I'm hoping she gets the job. Of course, if she does, I'll be even more anxious to find something else, too, so that we can both leave at the same time. Ideally, we'll both end up at the same place - that would just be too awesome. We shall see, though.

I hope this week flies by! Leave a comment and tell me how you've been.
